 Chat & Give is our way of putting you in touch with amazing people who are making a real difference to the lives of fellow Capetonians in need. If you can’t give your time, support their work in any way you can, and you’ll be making a difference too!

WorkNow! – Employ rather than hand out!

WorkNow! Working:

 

WorkNow! is a non-profit Organisation, aimed at serving the needs of the unemployed in the communities of Hangberg, Imizamo Yethu, Retreat and Ocean view. Employment is not only an opportunity to earn an income, but a chance to regain self-esteem and be proud of contributing.

 

WorkNow! acts as the intermediary for, and connects:

·         Work seekers who don't have the know-how to “sell themselves” in any way.

·         Employers who are keen to employ, but not sure how to source the right people.

 

WorkNow! interviews work seekers, checks references and keep IDs and CVs on file. We take great care to match the needs of employer and employee and personal interaction is our way of ensuring a happy and successful ‘match’.

 

WorkNow! Succeeding:

 

WorkNow! is not only alleviating unemployment, but creating hope in our communities. A record number of work days (3 843) was recorded for the three offices in September 2008! (Go to our website to read some wonderful personal accounts from employers and employees alike at www.worknow.org.za.

 

WorkNow! Needing:

 

Funding from the Department of Social Services is only guaranteed to 2008, and we need your support to become self-sufficient and build a secure future. We would be grateful for any donations to the project that you might think appropriate.
